FOLLY and the PERIL at the GATE
Hippo-cherubs were not uncommon in Mythlewild. What set Folly apart from other hippos was not his wings, but his horn—his shiny brass bugle to be precise. That’s what leads to all the turmoil at Castle Gwendolyn.
Pandas is a good-natured bear who doesn't know his own strength. On one eventful day however, Pandas' struggle to save a helpless lamb will reveal his true strength is character.
We all get 'notions'. They're responsible for almost everything we do. These unpredictable fellows often grow ... sometimes into giants. And there's no telling what a giant can do!
PALADIN and the CHRYSALIS' SPELL Just about everybody considered Ymir to be the dullest of creatures.
But in Mythlewild, even the ordinary are capable of extraordinary adventures. That's true of everyone—even if you're a cocoon.
If you were a god, what would you look like? How would you dress? Come inside the cathedral and you'll see one. He may not be what you expect. The little girl and her kitten found out—and so did the others.
SHANA and the WIDOW'S WELL
Important people can sometimes acquire big egos, especially if you are a god. Can you imagine how 'put out' Shana, Lordess of the Earth was to find herself in a rank and filthy hut, boiling even ranker, filthier laundry.
Beavers, dwarfs, even the jays, all within the 'Wilds' vast Northwood called Aegis, lord and master. The great eagle was favored by the gods and loved by all—all except the Octagolly. That creature loved no one, and for good reason.
The trouble with being the most feared predator in the sea is, it's hard to find a playmate. Octagolly was lonely. Then, in a surprising turn of events, 'Golly makes a lasting friend—in a most unexpected place.
Valentina was not the sort of girl to pine away in her rose garden waiting for true love to come courting. Just as well, because tonight the rancid-breathed, carrion eating Odios Fowl is dropping in.
Mythlewild's southern fens are a foul and forbidding swampland of bogs, wallows, and wastes. How Olaf loved it! Poor bird, if he only knew he was about to get stuck in an even bigger quagmire—LOVE.
Griffins are interesting enough I suppose, kind of like a bunch of different animals all stuck together in a wonderous way. The jungles of Mythlewild are home to lots of wonderous beasts. Take the Elephonkey—Wait! Someone HAS taken the Elephonkey!
The volatile warlord, Uther the Red's, castle is under siege. The situation calls for the stoutest of warriors fronting ranks of fully decked knights.
But it was Pax, the peaceful griffin that saved the day.
I call these stories "FAIRLY" TALES.
They're like Fairy Tales, but not quite.
They are stories about "MYTHLE'S",
which are like Myths, but not quite.
